My Opinion About Ten:
Ten.Com is the site I am going to review today, but what the hell does "ten" stand for? I have to tell you, that I wasted more than an hour, to come up with a possible explanation for the name of this site :-) And I guess I have the answer already, the creators of this site probably wanted to demonstrate the quality of their product. When you take a look at Ten.com, you will see "a star" used instead of "a dot" in the logo - so it should read like - "10 star(s) Com". Assuming I understood this thingy correctly, this means we are about to enter a 10 stars site :-) And I must agree that Ten really is a great site.
But one thing after another, let me give you more information and describe the site in a more detailed way. First we need to set one thing straight - this is a streaming video site. Streaming format has one disadvantage, but I am sure you all know about it already - for those of you who don't - these videos can only be viewed online, and are NOT downloadable.
The design of Ten.Com is very advanced, utilizing Macromedia Flash technology. Again, this has it's advantages but also disadvantages. On one hand it looks great, but sometimes it causes unwanted trouble - it is simply a bit too complicated for the less computer savvy users. But once you get used to the system, it works very fine.
Ten.Com offers HUGE amount of porn videos, easily thousands of full scenes ripped from DVD's produced by a large number of porn production studios. To mention a few, you will see titles from Jill Kelly Productions, Angel Pictures, Elegant Angel, Larry Flynt Productions, New Sensations, Puritan International, Red Light District and many many more - totaling almost 100 different studios. I am sure you can imagine that such a huge amount of titles needs a very advanced navigation system, to not get lost inside - and Ten.Com doesn't fail to deliver :-)
This site uses a big set of predefined search queries, making the navigation pretty fast and easy. Considering the amount of queries, I am almost sure everyone will be able to find exactly the scene he/she is looking for. However, I was still missing a custom search box, where I could enter my own search phrase. The predefined search queries are divided into sub-categories - the major ones are : Title (movie title), Sexual (type of action, for example anal, oral ...), Star (name of the performer), Setting (indoors, outdoors, dream ...), Clothing (costumes), Physical (age, body parts ...), Studio (movie producer).
Each of those mentioned sub-categories contain a lot more of fine-searches - for example "Sexual/Anal/Finger in Anus/Male to Female" or "Sexual/Ejaculation/Male/In Eyes" :-) As you can see, the owners of this site really tried hard to come up with all possible search queries. Besides these search queries, you can also use main filters - you can set the hardcore level to X, XX or XXX, you can choose to view all scenes or just those with highest quality ... I really can't complain here, the navigation is really flawless and fast.
I am sure you would also like to hear about the quality of these movies. Well, as far as I can tell, there are 3 quality levels. The first one is about 56kbit (dial-up), the second one is 200kbit (slower DSL) and the third one is set to 500kbit per second (faster version of DSL or Cable). Obviously, the higher the quality level, the better picture you get. Generally speaking, the movies here are reaching the highest standard for streaming video - the 500kbit version plays well even in full screen mode. The supported formats here are WMW and Real Video.
Once you are done watching the videos, not that you would ever manage to watch all of them :-) you can check out lot's of extra stuff. For example the "Community" section, containing a forum, sexual advices, staff picks or an adult shop. You can also check out few thousands of pictures, but as this is a video site I didn't bother with them. Live Chat, Pay Per View Movies, Adult Personals, Behind the Scenes and Interviews, Movie Reviews and many other extras are also available. Ten.Com surely is a nice complete package :-)
Final Verdict:
So let me sum it up very quickly, Ten.Com is an excellent streaming video site. Huge amount of full scenes is offered in multiple quality versions, with the highest one being really impressive (for streaming format). The only negative here is that the movies cannot be downloaded and a high speed connection is required to reach the best quality. So the final recommendation is pretty easy to make : those of you who have very fast connections shouldn't think any longer, this is surely the best streaming video site there is. And those of you who have slower connections should check out Deluxe Pass or Climax Corner - both of them offer downloadable videos.
