1. Can you tell us more about the guys behind GloryHoleCity.Com?

Gloryholecity is an awesome team effort that actually requires quite a bit of effort, which we make as fun as possible. There are a few of us here that 1) keep the site, hardware and software running smoothly and, 2) constantly improve/update it. Gloryholecity.com is owned and operated by VexBros, Inc., which has two Directors, supported by a few sexy gals. Under that corporate umbrella, we maintain a few other / related sites such as Gloryholeforums.com and Gloryholevideo.com.

We all tend to wear a few hats but usually focus our attention on specific areas. For example, the work is sometimes split-up between HTML/PHP/SQL development, affiliate / partnership program management, talent search, photo sessions, billing, security, correspondence, PR, etc. For work that requires additional support (e.g., photo shoots), we’ll bring in additional help as needed. Plus, our models should be mentioned here! After all, the Gloryholecity Gals do respond to e-mail from Members and enjoy working with the site, its creative design and some of the layout you see.

We also have hardware and software specialists who get involved whenever needed; upgrading server hardware, writing scripts, installing new software, operating system upgrades / patches, etc. This includes a network guru who keeps our servers and routers alive and kicking as well as a developer/Linux guru who writes CGI and PERL routines. The Webmasters tend to hack JAVA scripts on their own, usually. On top of that, we have an accountant and legal counsel.

Working on an adult site is not always “all the fun” that some might imagine. Many long hours and late nights go into what you see. Sometimes, it’s tedious work. But we all enjoy it and that’s why I am delighted to be surrounded by this team!

2. Why did you start GloryHoleCity.Com - what was the main reason to get involved into the GH internet community?

That’s an awesome question and I bet I could get really long winded in the answer. So, I will try my best to keep it contained. In a nutshell, we love of the Internet and XXX, especially gloryholes! But, if you want to know more, read on…

Most of us got involved with computing back in the days of punched cards and we’ve never stopped enjoying the technology. Of course, we’ve always loved porn! But, Gloryholecity didn’t start that far back.

Back in the days of the 80286 processor, we were dialing out on 300-2400 bps modems to join online MUDS and MUCKS. But, we wanted more… We wanted to have some fun of our own! And, eventually, we created a single line, DOS-based, Wildcat BBS (Bulletin Board System).

We loved the idea of an “online community” and created the BBS in such a way that it encouraged user interaction, file sharing, gaming, etc., and it wasn’t long before we had a growing number of visitors calling into our computer. All the while, we never charged a dime for access! Who ever thought of a pay site back then? It was exciting and the callers gave us the energy to take it even further. So, we upgraded the hardware, added multitasking for DOS and increased it to a multi-line system. At that point our lines were busy almost 24 hours a day!

At the same time, we started to see a growing number of female users: One in particular got our juices flowing… She began sharing nude photos of herself with other users! Of course, being the system operators (“sysops”) we wanted “in” on this action and got our first taste of sharing online adult content. To accommodate XXX, we created an adult section and required people to mail us proof of age, along with a signed form stating that they wanted access to the adult section of the BBS. Wow did our membership increase! We even had a few women take it further and actually visit us to show their “goods” in person -- We were hooked!!! Soon thereafter, our BBS was mentioned in a magazine, and was reaching capacity. But, we received a few donations and upgraded further (to a Pentium 1). Then, we began looking into larger networks such as FIDO. But, we couldn’t find the time to keep our day jobs, have a life, and support the effort. It didn’t matter though, because shortly thereafter the Internet began to get noticed. ISPs were popping up all around us and, slowly, we watched our callers decrease to the point that we had unused lines. It was then that we put the BBS into “maintenance” mode and just let it run on its own with no further upgrades. Along the way, we learned how to build systems, create user interfaces, develop ASCII graphics, write help systems, provide inter and intra-BBS gaming, etc., in addition to making many new friends via that noisy box sitting next to the couch in an apartment living room. Eventually, the hardware began to get old, the user base dropped to only a few and it just didn’t excite us like it did in the beginning. So, we “put her out to pasture.”

A few years passed and we were all living on our own, some married, all having fun and enjoying life when one of our friends got this idea to start an adult web site. We all got together for dinner to discuss the concept and possibilities, which didn’t go far. We were just happy to see one another. But, he took it further and started a site. Then, he called us a few months later to tell us how he was actually making some money and having fun doing it. This time, we took it serious and, just by luck (at the same time) we had acquired access to a server with a T1 backbone, reducing our costs, which were high at the time for anything decent. So, we started experimenting and created a few sites that offered basic up-sell and click-through opportunities. But none of these were met with a great deal of success.

Based on these (and other) efforts, we realized that to get any traction we needed a niche. But what niche would be interesting to us, exciting, juicy and not yet saturated? Well, that came pretty easy! I mean, I can’t tell you how many times I drove past different adult bookstores until I finally ventured into one and discovered the “fun” being had in these places (even prior to the days of our BBS). Although these places are frequented mostly by gay men, there are a few women who go and have “fun” as well (believe it or not!). And, where do they have this fun? Through a gloryhole, where the woman can enjoy some guy, as she “works” him through the hole, without ever seeing him and with no strings attached. What a hot topic - We love these wild women and we’ve met quite a few!

So, with that topic in mind, we searched the web and couldn’t find one heterosexual gloryhole-related site in existence (to the best of our knowledge). We came across some online clubs, but that was about it. However, these clubs were increasing in membership quickly, with members exchanging information; places to go; photos and more. It appeared to be just like our old BBS: A community experience in a realm that excited us! That was when we registered the domain “gloryholecity.com” and began work on a BBS type web site that would require membership in order to help us pay the expenses associated with running a server while providing proof of age. Around March of 1999 the site went live: The only web site for heterosexual gloryhole fun. Our goal was to create a community atmosphere that included a database of places to go, links to anything gloryhole related, member submitted photos, member submitted stories, and anything else we could throw in for the gloryhole connoisseur.

Our first year was basically a huge effort to create the web site we envisioned, focusing on a very exciting adult venue. We worked our asses off and it quickly began to flourish and grow! Without a great deal of promotion, we were gaining members and realized that we might beak-even or better! This was strange because we really had no great expectations. We love running an online community and we love women at gloryholes. But, we had no idea if others had the same passion as us. But, they did!

Once we grew beyond the break-even point, we invested every dime we made back into the site, expanding it beyond just Member submissions and into the next phase. We sought out and attracted models who actually enjoyed gloryholes and would either sell us their photos and videos or allow us to come along and film them “working the hole.” Eventually, they began coming to us, taking a trip to our local, “Gloryholecity friendly” adult bookstore and having “fun.”

Throughout the years (and at present), females and couples have contacted us, interested in appearing on the site. Of course, we’re always happy to oblige! We also receive letters from other Webmasters who have gloryhole content on their sites, although it’s not their primary focus. They’re more interested in traffic and content exchanges. But, that’s helped us to build a network of gloryhole related links/sites that we can provide to our members, giving them as much information and content as possible while building on the community theme.

Now, as we approach our five-year anniversary, we have a very active Member base and we work hard everyday to keep the site fresh and active. We have ongoing relationships with a number of gals who love “working the hole” and doing photo sessions with us, which are always held at actual Adult Bookstore locations. Plus, we’ve recently upgraded our servers and moved to a new data center with plenty of bandwidth.

Within the recent past, we’ve begun to get some very nice reviews by sites like yours and we’re delighted to see that our efforts have been met with favorable feedback. We truly enjoy chatting with our members, other webmasters and other people into gloryholes (couples, females, and guys). Of course, we’ll continue to grow the site and look forward to whatever the future brings!

3. Is there anything you believe makes your site stand out, or makes your site better than the rest?

Gloryholecity was built out of a passion to create an adult community that’s based on reality, in a niche that excites us! The guys and gals running the site are committed to differentiating it from the typical or mainstream adult sites you run across. We don’t have a studio. We work with gals who truly enjoy having “fun” through a gloryhole (one gal even calls it “the sport of gloryhole”). Our models want to be there and are not just performing for payment. The site, its operators and the content is real and we do our best to keep it that way.

Gloryholecity Members also make it real. They DO contribute some of the best material (stories, pictures, video, links, locations and more). Believe it or not, there really are couples out there who love to find a gloryhole and film or take photos of the wife/girlfriend as she “works” someone anonymously through that hole in the wall. And, we’ve found that this niche crosses into other fetish areas such as swinging, 3somes, cuckolds, facials, bukkake, flashers, etc. Consequently, we have extended the site a bit in order to accommodate a few related fetishes and have sections devoted to creampies, exhibitionists, our “Slut of the month” club, blowjob theatre, etc. But, we keep the focus on hetero-gloryhole action and the people who love it!

One thing is for sure… We are not a mass production warehouse or a mega-corporation looking for a niche to overwhelm with studio-based material. This makes us very different than the latest gloryhole sites to hit the market, many of which use the same girls across multiple sites and genres, all filmed in a studio with the same gloryhole, the same stunt cocks, etc. That’s not us and it will never be. We created Gloryholecity as a reality-based community and will do everything we can to deliver just that. We’re a smaller, dedicated, in-house operation that strives to have fun and bring together a community that’s usually separated by a wall - A wall with a hole in it of course!!!

4. When you started the site, what was your goal. Do you think you managed to achieve it?

Gloryholecity has always been about community and reality, targeted at a specific fetish; heterosexual gloryhole fun. We work hard, everyday, in order to bring that to our Members.

Who knows where we will end up next. For example, we recently became aware of a swingers club in Las Vegas that actually has TWO gloryholes for the patrons to enjoy. So, without hesitation, we flew there to interview the club management, take some photos and find a few women who enjoyed the holes. Now, we’re bringing it to our members, along with a discount coupon to visit the club if they’re ever in the Las Vegas area. This was just another step in keeping it real and fostering the community.

After all, we’re just a few porn loving guys (and gals) who understand what it takes to bring gals “working the hole” out of the adult bookstore and into your browser, while keeping it real. It began years ago with a single-line BBS and that first gal who wanted to share her nude pictures. Since then, we’ve come a long way. I’m not sure we would find something as exciting if we had completely mastered it. So, let’s keep it going and we’ll keep working on it!

5. What are your plans for the future?

For the immediate future we are planning to work with new talent and bring more material to the site. We’ll be adding some new variations such as a few “mature” females who love “working the hole.” We also plan to do more photo shoots with our gals in different situations to show what they are into, beyond the hole. In fact, we have two bi-gals who not only love gloryholes, but love each other and we’re working to showcase their bisexual antics. We’re also working to create larger videos, which isn’t easy with this type of material. But, we hear the requests and are doing our best. We may also create some PPV videos for other webmasters, showing some of our gals in action, all reality based. So, there’s much on the horizon.

Of course, we want to increase our membership base. Without members we wouldn’t be able to travel to places like Las Vegas and bring back real gloryhole content (not available elsewhere). We’re always searching for new gloryholes from around the world or in your backyard (e.g., check out our dedication to the Hungarian Gloryholes).

Our Members are the reason we take on such ventures, and not only for the content. After all, you can’t have a “community” without members who interact and provide the Member Submissions… Keep em coming!
